Abstracted Poster series
This is a series of posters I designed with the sole purpose of experimenting with Adobe Illustrator.
I began creating the orange one by combining many techniques with the purpose of creating something visually interesting. The other pieces were designed to keep the feel of the original.
Thanks to this project I was able to greatly increase my mastery of the pen tool thanks to this series.
My process
After choosing a focal point I begin to lay down the basic shapes, I wanted the piece to have an overall cool blue feel so I also set down some color. My idea was to create a desert scene with a sunset in the background, Eyes are a common element in my artwork so I decided to incorporate two of them in this piece. I wanted to add another point of interest so I inserted a chicken to be intercepted by the gaze of both eyes.
